Carlos López
RNV Coordinator in Guatemala
Carlos López and his wife Telma live in a community near Guatemala City called Magdalena Milpas Altas. He is a passionate, committed man with a desire to learn every day. Carlos has taken the gospel to communities in Guatemala where no one had ever preached before and has had the opportunity to see men and women embrace the hope that comes from Christ, baptizing those who want their faith to be known to others. Serving people is what he enjoys most about ministry, sharing with others and knowing that God has something to teach everyone.
“For several years I led a foundation called Love Guatemala and it was at that time that Jesus called me to follow him. In 2018 we started a church together with Pastor Ben Kunkel, although I did not have a deep relationship with God, I had the desire to know him more. In 2019 we started the Discipleship Route, that is when I began a true relationship with God and received the call to be the pastor of the church we had started. At first, I didn't believe I could do it, but I like taking on new challenges and after God confirmed my call, I was named pastor of the New Life Church in Guatemala. After a short time as pastor, God called me to pastor at a national level as coordinator of RNV in Guatemala, where God has done wonderful things and I know that He will continue to do greater things. It is my desire to reach many people for Christ, to plant dozens of churches throughout Guatemala and the rest of the world, leaving a legacy for all my generations so that they can continue with this mission of making disciples who make disciples of all nations.”
