Elkin Useche
RNV Coordinator in Europe
Elkin Useche is a Colombian missionary who, together with his wife Nora and his son Caleb, are currently in Madrid, Spain. His passion is in the formation of disciples, the training of leaders and the strategic planning of healthy churches. In his ministerial journey, he has accompanied the process of communities in steps of planning, execution and evaluation of organizational stages, helping to identify their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, which has led them to be more relevant in their missionary field to mobilize and reach others with the message of the gospel.
“I suffered an accident in 2005 in which I almost lost my life, which marked a before and after, understanding the call that God allowed me to follow Him. In the process of recovery, God shepherded and restored me, and then gave me the opportunity to get married in 2008 and become a father in 2011. In 2013, the Lord led me to study theology at FUSBC in Medellín, Colombia, and once I finished my studies, I was able to travel to England and Spain through Operation Mobilization. From 2020 to 2022, I was in England supporting a Hispanic church and working with refugees. In 2023, I began a Master's degree in Philosophy in Spain with the desire to have a better understanding of today's culture. Without a doubt, this entire ministerial and cultural pilgrimage has allowed me to identify opportunities and challenges of multiculturalism, postmodernity, and globalization for the Christian church today, especially in Europe. That's why I'm excited to serve as RNV coordinator in Europe! I recognize that it is part of God's plan for me to continue being His disciple and making more disciples for His kingdom. I wish with all my heart to see a missionary force of trained, formed and mobilized disciples of Christ, who are able to integrate themselves in various ways into the church and society, to be salt and light.”
